KBC was formed in 1998 after the merger of two Belgian banks (Kredietbank and CERA Bank) and a Belgian insurance company (ABB Insurance). Its principal activity consists of integrated bank-insurance. They deliver their services to 10 million clients worldwide. The core markets where KBC is present are: Belgium, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Bulgaria. They are also present in Ireland and, to a limited extent, in other countries.
